Haddock, a popular whitefish, reaching sizes up to 1.1 m (3 ft 7 in), is fished for year-round which makes it an excellent choice for a consistent menu. Fresh haddock has a clean, white flesh and is known for its flaky, clean texture. It can be cooked a number of ways, including baked, broiled, smoked, and poached. Freshness of a haddock fillet can be determined by how well it holds together, as a fresh one will be firm. If it’s not already on your menu, call today and add it.
