Salmon aquaculture began over 30 years ago in Norway. Farmed salmon is fed the local fish in the waters in which it’s raised. In every region of the world where salmon is farmed, the salmon eat what is indigenous to the area, so the North Sea Salmon raised in Norway and Scotland are fed on krill. The fish has big, deep, pink flakes, it’s moist and mild. Every stage of the salmon’s life cycle is carefully monitored and evaluated to ensure environmental stewardship and quality of life. Extra Jumbo Redfish (3lb and up) availability is improving. The fish are coming in around 3 to 3.5 lbs. We are seeing some shortages on the smaller sizes, Jumbo Redfish (2.5-3 lb.). Striped Bass availability is somewhat limited due to sizing as well. Please call your sales rep for pricing and availability.
Farmed Salmon
Chilean Salmon pricing is holding steady. We are seeing all farmed prices hold firm for Canadian and North Sea This is due to weather and holidays.

This salmon is naturally raised; Antibiotic Free, Chemical Free, Preservative Free, and Hormone Free. The feed is comprised of all natural and sustainable resources. And unlike other farm raised salmon Wild Isle Salmon is raised in the open ocean of the Shetland Islands, and not in a Loch or Bay like other farms raised salmons.

Rainbow trout availability from the farms has improved. The Ruby Trout Farm is back up and running. Availability is looking good on the 6-8 size fillets.
