Redfish & Striped Bass
The redfish farms are experiencing dead loss from the extreme cold temps due to Winter Storm Uri. They have halted harvests for the next few weeks to allow the fish to reacclimate. Striped Bass was not affected and are readily available. Non-domestic Redfish from Mauritius and black drum from the Gulf of Mexico are both suitable options for temporary substitutes. Please call your sales rep for sample requests, and the available options.

Farmed Salmon
We carry many options of Farmed Salmon.
Chilean Salmon, North Sea Salmon, Canadian Salmon, Verlasso Salmon, Ora King Salmon, Bay of Fundy Salmon, and Sixty South Salmon.
Chilean Salmon market pricing is slowly coming down. Prices were up due to availability to the U.S. Many farms have shifted their production to other countries, like Russian and Brazil.
Canadian Salmon farms are having sizing and availability issues, which has reduced the amount of product into the market, we expect to see smaller fillets available in the coming weeks.
Many farms in Norway and New Zealand had to halt harvesting due to weather, which has limited availability and caused slight price increases.
Please call your sales rep for pricing and availability.
Wild Isles Natural Salmon
This salmon is naturally raised; Antibiotic Free, Chemical Free, Preservative Free, and Hormone Free. The feed is comprised of all natural and sustainable resources. And unlike other farm raised salmon Wild Isle Salmon is raised in the open ocean of the Shetland Islands, and not in a Loch or Bay like other farms raised salmons.
