Notes from our buyer
Crawfish catch volumes are increasing each week as the average high temps in South Louisiana is staying around 70 degrees with mild overnight lows. We are rotating the ponds we are fishing to ensure the proper growth rate of the crawfish and not to deplete the supply early. We expect demand to increase along with the catch. The State of Louisiana saw record highs in February dating back to 1932. The avg temp was 61.2 in 1932. 2017 was 61.0, which makes for the start of great crawfish season.
