LittleNeck Clams

LittleNeck Clams

Little Necks are the smallest hard shell clam. They are known for their sweet taste. Littleneck clams can be found from the Aleutian Islands to Baja California, though they are only abundant north of Oregon. Commonly found in bays and estuaries along the coast of British Columbia, littleneck clams live at low- to mid-intertidal depths, burrowing into the beach. Usually around 10 to 12 clams in a pound. They measure about 1 to 2 inches across.
