Chef Chad Houser is a proud native of the great state of Texas and a true connoisseur of all her fruits, whether it’s locally grown Lemley tomatoes or a refreshing Viognier from the Hill Country. A graduate of El Centro College with a degree in food and hospitality service, Houser has been cooking for discriminating guests in the Dallas area for more than a decade. Most recently he was chef-partner at Parigi, one of Dallas’ most beloved and inventive neighborhood restaurants. In September 2012, he left Parigi to be the executive director and executive chef of Cafe Momentum, a social enterprise restaurant and life skill training facility focused on the rehabilitation of adjudicated teens, which he co-founded in spring 2011. In his spare time, Houser sits on the advisory board for the Dallas Farmers Market Friends, where he originated the Chef and Farmers Roundtable, an annual event that brings prominent local chefs and area farmers together to discuss the benefits and challenges of buying locally grown food. He’s been nominated multiple times by D Magazine for best chef in Dallas.
